Ball High Throws Two Shutouts
The Tors opened up the Baytown tournament with a pair of 5-0 shutouts against Channelview and Goose Creek.
Aaron Garza was the winning pitcher against Goose Creek, allowing just four hits with five strikeouts. He also hit a solo home run.
Rande Revilla was the winner against Channelview, allowing three hits and three walks with 11 strikeouts.
Nick Williams had three doubles on the day for Ball High (4-3).
Stings Split Pair In Brenham
Texas City opened the Brenham tournament with a 5-2 win over Houston Lamar and a 11-5 loss to San Marcos.
Brandon Hernandez had two hits and three RBIs for the Stings against Lamar.
Curry Fattig had three hits and an RBI, while Steven Mott also drove in a run.
Ryan Harper was the winning pitcher, allowing just five hits with five strikeouts.
Kyle Bulpitt had two hits and an RBI against San Marcos. Harper also had a solo home run.

Santa Fe Rolls Along
The Lady Indians continued their hot play, winning a pair of games in the HSSL tournament.
Santa Fe beat Katy, the No. 5 team in Class 5A, 4-1. It followed that up with a 2-1 win over Dobie.
Joselyn Tacquard had 12 strikeouts and allowed just four hits against Katy.
Jordan Garza drove in two runs, while Rachel Tassin and Lindsay Campbell each had an RBI.
Against Dobie, Micaela Bouvier got the win, allowing just one hit with nine strikeouts.
Megan Cantrell drove in both runs, while Arin McLaren had a triple.
O’Connell 1, St. Agnus 1 (8 innings)
Katie Delgado scored the Lady Bucs’ lone run with an inside the park homer. Kristen Martinez pitched all eight innings for O’Connell, striking out 12.

Friendswood 4, Santa Fe 0
Annalisa Hall, Makenzie Newkirk, Jenny Blackman and Tess Horbach all scored for Friendswood (15-2-3, 7-0-0).
Kara Wheeler added an assist, and Miriam Mooney got her 12th straight shutout Wednesday night.
